ASEAN leaders, including State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi convened the 15th ASEAN-India Summit on Tuesday in Manila. Modi pledged to cooperate with its Southeast Asian nations counterparts to combat the rise of terrorism.
Counter-terrorism is a key issue being discussed in the Manila meeting which brought together leaders from 21 nations. During the Summit, leaders of the ASEAN 10 Member States, joined by ASEAN Secretary General, also discussed and reviewed ASEAN-India cooperation and its future direction.
