Bilateral Ties: State Counsellor Meets Japanese FM And Party

State Counsellor and Union Minster for Foreign Affairs Daw Aung San Suu Kyi received Japanese Foreign Affairs Minister H.E. Mr. Taro Kono and party at the Ministry office in Nay Pyi Taw, on Friday.

On the occasion, they cordially discussed matters relating on Yangon-Mandalay expressway upgrading project, the implementation tasks of short and long term plan for the development of Rakhine State, future more cooperation and investment in Thilawa Special Economic Zone, as well as to promote cooperation in transportation and electricity sectors and acceleration of cooperation between the two countries.

Also present at the meeting were Union Minster for International cooperation U Kyaw Tin and departmental officials from Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Japanese delegation.
