Business Matching: Netherlands Come To Identify Myanmar Business Sectors

Myanmar business leaders have a great interest to cooperate with Netherlands business leaders in terms of Agriculture, Infrastructure, water management and health sector, vice president of UMFCCI said at the business matching with Netherlands in Yangon on Thursday.

As Netherlands stand on the world second largest producer and exporter in agriculture sector, the business cooperating between the two countries could lead to the development of agriculture in Myanmar, the expert pointed out.

Vice –President, UMFCCI, Maung Maung Lay: Myanmar needs to have business cooperation with service provider and producers which could provide safety products and services and which has accountability and credibility. On the other hand, Myanmar has big potential to do business with Netherlands in agriculture, infrastructure, water management and health sector.

Arrangement by embassy of Netherlands, 13 business men from Netherlands came to identify Myanmar business sectors in order to cooperate with and aid the technology.

Senior Economic and Commercial Officer, Embassy of Netherlands, Sandar Myint: The business leaders from Netherlands would like to identify local partners rather than to invest. They aim to do in their business model like “from aid to trade”. So they aim cooperate for the development of skill and technology in Myanmar.

13 Business men will meet with officials from DICA and NLD Economic Committee, according to official from the Embassy.
