12 June 2017

A China Eastern flight was parked on the tarmac of Sydney International Airport on Monday.  The plane was forced to turn back to Sydney due to a mid-air emergency involving an engine problem overnight.  The plane landed without incident and there were no injuries according to China Eastern Airlines. The Australia Transport Safety Bureau said it was investigating the incident. Passengers said they heard a bang shortly after the plane took off and could smell burning before the flight turned back.
