The coordination meeting on the development of SMEs and technical management was held at the ministry of planning and finance, Nay Pyi Taw on Friday and the union minister for planning and finance, U Kyaw Win delivered the remarks.
In his remarks, the union minister urged to utilize the utmost ability for the economic development of the state. The alleviation of showing loss of the state-owned enterprises is being implemented and the profitable state-owned factories are being handed over to the entrepreneurs who are willing to operate them. The competitive advantage of the domestic products over those of the neighboring countries is still weakening. That's why; the state is supporting SMEs for uplifting their competitive edge with the export-led growth strategies in favor of import substitution. It's needed to build the Agro-based Industrial Nation.
Later, the responsible persons of UMFCCI and the different federations of the entrepreneurs discussed the requirements for the development of the relevant industries, challenges facing and assistance from the government.
The respective departmental officials responded to the discussions of the entrepreneurs.
