DUSU Challenge Cup 2017: West Yangon University To Final

Winning Technological University Hmawbi in penalty-shootout, West Yangon University on Wednesday made its way to the final match of DUSU Challenge Cup 2017.

The Challenge Cup is organized by Dagon University Students’ Union with the aim of promoting students’ sports sector, finding out good and talented football players and accelerating the friendship among the students. 

Manager , Organizing Committee , Aung Min Thu: This is the 2nd Challenge Cup with 8 University teams. In the 1st one, there were only 6. For students, this is a chance to get experience. Prize money are 700,000, 500,000 and 300,000 kyats respectively.

Coach , West Yangon University Team, Thiha Ko Ko: The training focused on team work. This is a very good opportunity for the students as they can make friends and strengthening the friendship. The players can also show their interest in football.

A fan of the winning team was so excited and happy for the win.

West Yangon University and Dagon University will face in the final on Friday at Yangon United Sports Complex.
