KBZ Cup 2017: Myanmar Beats Cambodia At First Match

The host team Myanmar U-22 national football squad beat Cambodia by a score of 4-1 on the first day of the KBZ Bank Challenge Cup 2017, at Thuwana Stadium on Wednesday.

Myanmar's Aung Thu scored at 17th and 41st minutes, Mg Mg Lwin at 62nd minutes and Captain Si Thu Aung at 65th minutes.

Head Coach , Myanmar U-22 team, Gerd Zeise : "We are certainty together not now. at the beginning, I warned my team that Cambodia is a strong team. I saw my team played with India brilliantly. I expected the style of playing, the senior players get up busy, especially at the first 15 minutes. But finally, we created a lot of chances. They shoot up scores more . first we form,  we put very much, that's okay"

Cambodia U-22 team's Chreng Poroth scored at 48minutes from foul.

Head Coach , Cambodia U-22team, VASONCELLOS Andrade Vitorino Da Silvia Leonardo Luiz: "Sure, we're coming here and try to the competition, in the next game, we will play in our style and our system because we start now a new system of the game. I want my players to play the same. we try to keep the ball, we try to more balance of the game, we use the space. their shot missed and use the long pass.  it's normal because they need more experience. we play well. this competition is important because Myanmar  with good background. they played world cup. and they are together since 16.  And my team starts now. So, in the future we will be strong."

Myanmar will play against Hong Kong U-22 on June 30th at 6 pm at Thuwana stadium.
