Landslide disrupts traffic in southwest China

7 August 2017

A massive landslide in southwest China blocked traffic on National Highway 213 for three hours on Sunday. No death or injury has been reported. The landslide occurred at 3:45pm. The landslide caused about 20,000 cubic meters of mud to fall onto the highway.

Emergency teams were immediately sent to the site. Large machines were used to quickly clear the road.  Traffic had resumed at a normal pace in the late evening.
