Peace Talk: State Counsellor’s Discussion With Rural Youths

State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi held a peace talk with youths from rural areas in Nay Pyi Taw on Tuesday.

12 young people from different areas of the country got a chance to discuss about peace process and the role of youth in successful implementation of this process.

The State Counsellor stressed that peace process is concerned with all the citizens residing in the country. She urged all to join hand with the Government in successful implementation of this process.

State Counsellor, H.E. Aung San Suu Kyi: Our country’s peace process can be represented as the hearth of the country. Only when we achieved peace, our country can be developed in all sectors. I want all of you to discuss about the responsibility of each and everyone in implementing the peace process.

The youth representatives exchanges views on rule of law in the community and safety of the public. They also talked about the needs for regional development including health, education, power supply, agriculture and transportation sectors.
