South Korean president encourages U.S. investment despite North Korea nuclear issue

29 June 2017

South Korean President Moon Jae-in said on Wednesday that his government had a "strong commitment" to resolving the North Korea nuclear issue. He said the U.S. should be able to invest in Korea with "no concerns" and even one day "invest in North Korea at some point in the future," but did not offer any specific detail or explanation.  A White House official said U.S. President Donald Trump will press President Moon Jae-in to improve trade imbalances with the United States during meetings on Thursday and Friday.
