The singing contest of the second part of top 10 finalists for the Peace Music Festival in Yangon organized by Myanmar Radio and Television (MRTV) was held at MRTV compound in Yangon, on Sunday.
The aim of the singing contest is to promote the participation of young people in peace making process through the Peace music festival.
DIRECTOR GENERAL, MYANMAR RADIO AND TELEVISION, MYINT HTWE said “We aim at the singing contest to accelerate the peace making process with peace music. We would like to promote the participation of young people in the peace making process. That is an easy way to convey the peace process knowledge to young generations. That's why we organize such kind of singing contest hoping that development of the country is going to be brought by peace process. We have arranged to present big prizes for the winner, first and 2nd runner-ups and others 7 contestants.”
One of the contestants expresses his feeling in the top 10 finalists singing contest.
CONTEST, YANGON REGION, MIN KHANT said “I've already tried hard practicing of vocal control for two days until it feels pain. This singing contest is very different from other ones and I think that the competition makes me more confident. So, I will try my best and win in the competition.”
The audience is a part of young people who are involve in the peace process through the peace music festival.
AUDIENCE, NYO NYO SAN said “I'm here to support the singing contest of top 10 finalists. The title "Peace Music Festival” is really unique. I'm very much appreciated with this singing competition. Such competition will be benefited for the contestants and will open opportunity for them.”
The organizing committee has prepared the prizes for the winner, 1st and 2nd runners-up.
