Yangon Mass Cycling: Last Sunday Of Every Month

Yangon Mass Cycling of North District was held near Nant Thar Kone Park of Insein Township on Sunday.

The Mass Cycling aims to promote the sport and is for the enhancement of the physical fitness as well.

Not only young people but also elders joined the mass cycling since it started about a year ago, according to the Vice President of Myanmar Cycling Federation.

Vice President , Myanmar Cycling Federation, Myat Thu: As cycling is good for health, we would like to invite everyone to participate in the mass cycling. We also aim to bring out cyclists for the nation and to promote the sport.

The length of such a mass cycling route is between 30 and 60 kilometers.

More than 100 participants joined this mass cycling - some are veteran cyclists who have been participating in mass cycling about 30 years.

Participant, Kyaw Sein Myaing: I’d like to invite all and join this activity. I always encourage those in my ward to come and join. I’m happy participating in this and meeting with my friends.

Yangon Mass Cycling is held on the last Sunday of every month and it has been a year now.
