Çalsana, Bagşy!” music competition

The final stage of the competition is held for dutar players and bakshi-musicians within the framework to receive the award of the President of Turkmenistan in the Mukamlar Palace of the State Culture Center.

It was attended by young tutar musicians from provinces and Ashgabat who won the preliminary stages of the competition. On the occasion of this event, Turkmenistan President sent Congratulations to the participants.

The inclusion of the art of dutar making, dutar music and pastoral art into the UNESCO list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity is a clear proof that this art has gained great prestige at the international level.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Culture and was attended by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, heads of departments, artists, representatives of public organizations, students and representatives of mass media.
