Agriculture Sector: Deputy Minister attends events in Zeyathiri Township

Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Dr. Tin Htut attended evaluation of the competence traits of hybrid paddy event at the Yezin Department of Research in Zeyathiri Township.

It is said that the paddy varieties containing many gene clusters were cross-breeded in the 2022 summer paddy season and were planted in KyoePin and TelGyiKone villages. The evaluated paddy seeds will be distributed in various paddy farming regions across the country.

The Deputy Minister also addressed the Farmers' Technical Forum in which an expert made a discussion on agricultural techniques for improving the yield of pulses. The Forum also included a question-and-answer session.

Also, the Deputy Minister addressed a discussion on the changes in undergraduate course systems and the changes in agricultural courses from 1924, when the Yezin Agricultural University was established, to the present day at the Advanced Center for Agricultural Research and Education.
