Agriculture Sector: Field demonstration of cultivation with hand planters

Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win attended a Field Demonstration of Cultivation with Hand Planters in AukSu Ward of Thanatpin Township.

There, the Chief Minister also instructed concerned officials to distribute high-quality varieties for the cultivation of flood-resistant rice varieties in farmlands that are flooded every year, test the soil sample and add the required amount of fertilizer and to provide comprehensive knowledge of pure seed breeding methods.

The Chief Minister also held talks with farmers and pledged to provide assistance to achieve goal yield. Also, the Chief Minister visited the Entrance door of the ancient city of Innwa on the Bago- Thanatpin Road and heard report on excavation conditions of Hanthawaddy ancient moat.

In his response, the Chief Minister stressed that discovery of ancient cultural heritage is for the future youth and also to promote tourism sector. He also urged concerned officials to properly record the type and period of items obtained from the excavation.
