Agriculture Sector: Yangon Region Chief Minister attended the meeting

A work coordination meeting for the acceleration of the double cropping on the farmlands of monsoon paddy and other crops in Yangon Region was held at the office of the Yangon Region Government with the attendance of the Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister urged the departmental officials to make concerted efforts to extend the double cropping acres. Then, region minister for Economic Affairs clarified the arragements for double ropping, current condition of the plantations and preparations to grow multiple crops on remaining acres.
Next, the chairman of the Myanmar Rice Federation explained the efforts of the federation to support double cropping and tasks to be implemented. Then, departmental officlas presented sector-wise reports. Then, the Cheif Minister supplemented the reports and concluded the meeting.
