ASEAN-China Partnership: Hainan Media Tour & Visual Exhibition

With the theme “China Up Close” to ASEAN Media Partners, Hainan Tour & Visual Exhibition was launched in Sanya, on 23rd April. It was attended by the representatives from CGTN, China Media Group (CMG) Headquarters in Hainan, Hainan Provincial Party Committee, Ministry of Information and Hainan based media organizations as well as the mainstream media reporters from 9 ASEAN Member States. Deputy Director General of CMG Asia-Africa Center Zhang Hui highlighted the friendly relation and common interest between China and ASEAN member states.

China Media Group has successfully established the comprehensive collaboration with over 100 media organizations from ASEAN countries. He also expressed more ASEAN-China media collaboration and further friendship through the “China Up Close” program.

Next, Deputy Minister of Information of Hainan provincial Party Committee Jiang Jianmin stated that Hainan  plays the crucial role in ASEAN-China collaboration. Also, the ASEAN stands as the biggest trade partner of Hainan for many years continuously. 

The launching ceremony will support mutual friendship and deeper understanding between Hainan and ASEAN.  On the occasion, Chairman of the Lao National Television AMKHA VONGMEUNKA sent his video message stating fruitful outcome through the media exchange programs and friendly visits. He expressed the Laotian reporters would learn about China’s development, rich culture and attractive destinations.

In this way, the ASEAN media reporters could exchange their ideas and experience and they could impart their knowledge to the audience.  “China Up Close” program is organized by the CGTN of CMG and Hainan Tour. From 22th to 28th of April, a total of 50 journalists from 11 mainstream medias of 9 ASEAN countries will travel along Hainan Tourism Road through Sanya, Lingshui, Wanning, Qionghai and Haikou cities, conducting interviews during their trip as an integrated media program.

And this program will be aired through various medial platforms of ASEAN member states. The outstanding video creations jointly produced by the mainstream medias of China and ASEAN member states were displayed at the “China Up Close” Hainan Tour & Visual Exhibition and the integrated media programs will also be reported at respective countries simultaneously.
