ASEAN-OSHNET Award: Clarification on scrutinizing procedures

The 5th ASEAN Occupational Safety and Health Network (ASEAN_OSHNET) Award Presenting Ceremony is scheduled to be held in Singapore in 2024. 

The interested entrepreneurs are urged to participate in the competition. On Friday, a ceremony to clarify about the award presenting process was held at the KaNaung Hall in Hlaingthaya Township of Yangon Region with the attendance of Union Minister for Labor U Myint Naung on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Union Minister stressed that the emergence of safe and healthy occupations will promote the economic sector of the nation by developing  the socio-economic wellbeing of the families, increasing the capacity of the workplaces, reducing the lack of skilled workers, promoting the image of the workplaces as well as attracting more foreign investments.

ASEAN-OSHNET has been awarding the entrepreneurs who are actively working on creating better occupations for the workers within ASEAN region every two years since 2016 and the entrepreneurs from Myanmar raise the prestige of the country by securing prizes continuously.

Then, the Director General from the Factories and General Labour Laws Inspection Departmentclarified the matters on occupational safety and health. Then, a video clip featuring the informations related to  ASEAN-OSHNET Award was screened.

Then, an official from the Factories and General Labour Laws Inspection Department clarified the set standards on selecting award winners. it is learnt that the procedures of selecting award winners will be conducted from February to March 2024.
