A cargo ship that left the Australian port of Wollongong lost power and drifted at sea for some time south of Sydney with 21crew on board. There was a plan to airlift the ship's crew to safety, but that effort was abandoned due to bad weather.

Rescue workers from the Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter service weren't able to board the ship. According to local authorities, the ship is anchored near the coast and three tugboats are onsite to try and stop it from getting closer to nearby cliffs and rocks and to tow it to sea, where repairs on the engine will be done.
