US President Joe Biden celebrated the new guidance released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Thursday, easing mask-wearing for fully vaccinated people and allowing them to stop wearing masks outdoors in crowds and in most indoor settings.

U.S. President, Joe Biden  said "Well, today is a great day for America in our long battle with the coronavirus. Just a few hours ago, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the CDC, announced that they are no longer recommending that fully vaccinated people need wear masks. This recommendation holds true whether you are inside or outside. I think it's a great milestone, a great day. It's been made possible by the extraordinary success we've had in vaccinating so many Americans so quickly."

The new guidance still calls for wearing masks in crowded indoor settings like buses, planes, hospitals, prisons and homeless shelters, but it will help clear the way for reopening workplaces, schools, and other venues — even removing the need for social distancing for those who are fully vaccinated.
