A burial ceremony for the remains of 88 Chinese soldiers killed during the War (1950-53) was held in Shenyang, Northeast China’s Liaoning Province, on Saturday morning.

The PLA soldiers escorted the caskets of volunteer martyrs to the resting place with guns. Audience sang the national anthem during the process.

After the caskets were set, people at the scene stood and bowed three times to the volunteer martyrs. Meanwhile, soldiers fired 12 shots to pay the highest tribute to the martyrs.

This was the ninth group of remains to be returned to China since Beijing and Seoul signed a repatriation agreement in 2014.
