Ceremony of Conferring Title: MoRAC Union Minister conferred Thamane Kyaw title

Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Ko Ko attended the Birthday Celebration of the presiding Sayadaw of Majjhima Gonyi Mahasi Sasana Yeikthas Dr. Baddanta Kovida and Thamane Kyaw (outstanding Samanera) Title conferring ceremony donated cash donation for holding the Thamane Kyaw (outstanding Samanera) examination, held at MajjhimaGon Yaung Maha Dhamma Beikman, Majjhima Gonyon Mahasi Sasana Yeiktha, Hlegu Township, Yangon Region in the morning on January 14.

Also present at the occasion were the members of Sangha led by Presiding Sayadaw of Insein Ywama Pariyatti Sarthintaik Abhidhazamaharathaguru Aggamahapandita Baddanta Tilokabhivamsa, Union Minister U Ko Ko, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, Commander of Yangon Command Ma-J Gen. Nyunt Win Swe, region ministers, well wishers and invited guests.

First, the congregation observed five precepts administered by the Presiding Sayadaw of Insein Ywama Pariyatti Sarthintaik Baddanta Tilokabhivamsa.

Next, the leader Sayadaw of Majjhimalankara Thamane Kyaw Association Majjhima Gonyi Sayadaw Dr. Baddanta Kovida gavea congratulatory greeting to the members of Sangha who passed the examination and received the Majjhimalankara Thamane Kyaw Title.

Then, the Union Minister U Ko Ko, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, Commander of Yangon Command Ma-J Gen. Nyunt Win Swe conferred the MajjhimalankaraThamane Kyaw Title to the members of Sangha who passed the third grade of examination and the 9 members of Sangha who passed the examination with distinctions at the first, second and third grades.

Next, the Union Minister U Ko Ko offered 5 million of cash donation for holding the Majjhimalankara Thamane Kyaw examination and the Chairperson of Majjhimalankara Thamane Kyaw Association Aggamahathiri Thuddhama Theingi Dr. Daw Ni Ni accepted the donation and presented certificate of honor.

Afterward, the well wisher families donated 1.105 billion Kyats for holding the Majjhimalankara Thamane Kyaw examination and the Union Minister U Ko Ko accepted the donations and presented certificate of honor. Next, the Presiding Sayadaw of Insein Ywama Pariyatti Sarthintaik Baddanta Tilokabhivamsa and Majjhima Gonyi Sayadaw Dr. Baddanta Kovida conferred the Majjhimalankara Thamane Kyaw (outstanding Samanera) Title to the recipient members of Sangha.

Then, the Union Minister U Ko Ko, Chief Minister U Soe Thein and Commander Ma-J Gen. Nyunt Win Swe offered the lotus robe to the Insein Ywama Pariyatti Sarthintaik Sayadaw Baddanta Tilokabhivamsa.

After taking the auspicious Pali stanzas reciting by the members of Sangha and sermon delivered by the Majjhima Gonyi Sayadaw Dr. Baddanta Kovida, the congregation shared the merits gained.
