China’s C919 airliner makes its debut

China’s first self-developed narrow-body passenger jet C919 made its debut in the Spring Festival travel rush this year. Four C919 passenger jets join in the service in the nation’s busiest traveling period that runs from Jan 26 to March 5, flying routes between Beijing and Shanghai, and Shanghai and Chengdu in Sichuan Province of southwest China.

The plane carried out its first flight mission last Friday, carrying passengers from Shanghai to Chengdu. As more C919 passenger jets will be delivered to airlines, the planes will serve more frequently in the future Spring Festival travel rush and fly more routes.
