China president and Australia PM hold bilateral in Bali

Australia's Prime Minister and China's President Xi Jinping had a bilateral meeting in Bali on Tuesday, on the sidelines of the G-20 summit.

Albanese spoke about the need to work towards a "stable" Indo-Pacific region, and noted the upcoming 50-year anniversary of China and Australia establishing diplomatic ties. The two leaders had a "very positive and constructive discussion" on the meeting.
