China reports 119 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases, 38 new deaths

Chinese health authorities said on Wednesday that it received reports of 119 new confirmed cases of novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and 38 deaths and 143 suspected cases on Tuesday from 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps. By the end of Tuesday, the current number of confirmed cases was 27,433, including 6,416 critical cases, the increasing number of patients discharged from hospital was 49,856 and the total number of death was 2,981.

On Tuesday, Hubei province reported 115 new confirmed cases and the number of patients discharged from hospital on the day was 2,389 and the number of new death was 37. The number of new suspected cases was 52 (43 in Wuhan), and the current number of suspected cases was 340 (234 in Wuhan). By the end of Tuesday, China's health authorities received reports of 152 confirmed cases in China's Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions and Taiwan, including 100 from Hong Kong, 10 in Macao, and 42 from Taiwan.
