China's Xi meets Hong Kong leader Carrie Lam

Chinese President Xi Jinping met outgoing Hong Kong Chief Executive Carrie Lam as part of his trip to the territory.

Accompanied by Lam, Xi also met members of the Executive Council, the president of the Legislative Council, the chief justice of the Court of Final Appeal, and outgoing as well as incoming government administrative officials.

It is Xi's first trip outside of mainland China in nearly 2 ½ years.
