Chinese gas field sees key construction progress

According to China National Offshore Oil Corporation on Thursday, deep Sea No. 1, China’s self-developed ultra-deep-water gas field, has seen the onshore manufacturing of its integrated processing platform completed.

The platform’s jacket was put under sea recently in the area near Sanya of south China’s Hainan Province and will be assembled with the production module over the sea in mid-February. Jacket platform is the most widely used offshore oil and gas production facility in the world which serves as the base of the entire huge oil and gas production platform over the sea.
