Chinese mainland reports 12 new confirmed COVID-19 cases Sunday

Chinese health authority said on Monday that it received reports of 12 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases on the mainland on Sunday. All the domestically transmitted cases were reported in Beijing, the National Health Commission said in its daily report. No new deaths related to the disease were reported nationwide and four new suspected cases were reported in Beijing.

The total number of imported cases reached 1,907 and no deaths had been reported from the imported cases. A total of 83,512 confirmed COVID-19 cases had also been reported on the mainland. Six new asymptomatic cases, including five imported, were also reported on the mainland, the commission said, adding that one asymptomatic case was re-categorized as a confirmed case. 1,199 confirmed cases including seven deaths had been reported in Hong Kong, 46 confirmed cases in Macao, and 447 in Taiwan region including seven deaths.
