Chinese mainland reports 13 new confirmed COVID-19 cases

Chinese health authority said on Friday that it received reports of 13 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland on Thursday, of which 11 were domestically transmitted cases and two were imported ones. The 11 domestically transmitted cases were all reported from Beijing, while the two imported cases were both detected in Shanghai, the National Health Commission said in its daily report.  

No new deaths related to the disease were reported, the commission said. As of Thursday, the overall confirmed cases on the mainland had reached 83,462. By Thursday, the mainland had reported a total of 1,895 imported cases. Five new asymptomatic cases, four from overseas, were reported on the mainland. 1,193 confirmed cases including seven deaths had been reported in Hong Kong, 46 confirmed cases in Macao, and 447 in Taiwan region including seven deaths.
