Chinese mainland reports 18 new confirmed COVID-19 cases

Chinese health authority said on Monday that it received reports of 18 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases on the mainland on Sunday. Of whom 11 were domestically transmitted and seven were imported, the National Health Commission said in its daily report.

No deaths related to the disease were reported on Sunday, according to the commission. As of Sunday, the overall confirmed cases on the mainland had reached 83,396. By Sunday, the mainland had reported a total of 1,876 imported cases. Also on Sunday, seven new asymptomatic cases, including one from overseas, were reported on the mainland. One asymptomatic case was re-categorized as a confirmed case. By Sunday, 1,131 confirmed cases including five deaths had been reported in Hong Kong, 45 confirmed cases in Macao, and 446 in Taiwan including seven deaths.
