Chinese Premier Li Qiang met with visiting International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva in Beijing on Friday, saying that China's economy is recovering with positive trend.  Li said that China supports the IMF in continuing to play an important role in global governance. China hopes that the IMF will work to make sure the 16th general review of quotas achieve meaningful results.

For her part, Georgieva said that China's economy contributes one-third of the world's economic growth, and that the IMF highly comments on China's strong leading role in promoting global economic growth. Georgieva said all parties should keep the global supply chain stable and unimpeded, and that the IMF is willing to work hard to achieve positive results from the general review of quotas.
