Conferring Honorary Titles and Medals: Scrutiny Committee held its meeting in Nay Pyi Taw

Scrutiny Committee on Conferring the Honorary Titles and Medals for 2023 held its meeting in Nay Pyi Taw on Thursday.

Patron of the Committee Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice Senior General Soe Win attended the ceremony and gave a speech, saying that 12 types of honorary titles, gallantry medals and performance medals will be awarded to the members of Tatmadaw, Myanmar Police Force and civil servants.

The recipients will be selected for their outstanding performance in nation building endeavours and those who sacrificed their lives in serving duties for stability of the state and rule of law. After the scrutinizing process, the announcement for the selected title recipients will be made on 4th January Diamond Jubilee Independence Day in 2023 and the significant days before the Independence Day.

Announcements have already been made for 880 title recipients on 27th March and 146 recipients on 17th April respectively. The scrutinizing has been conducted again for selecting those who deserve the awards. Officials later explained the scrutinizing process for the honorary titles and gallantry medals.
