Cooperation Forum: Forum on China-Myanmar Economic Cooperation held

The China’s New Development and China-Myanmar Cooperation Forum on China-Myanmar Economic Cooperation jointly organized by UMFCCI and the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China was held at the meeting hall of UMFCCI, Min Ye Kyaw Swer Road, Lanmadaw Township, Yangon in the afternoon on December 2nd.

First, the video message sent by the Mr. Xi Jinping President of the People’s Republic of China was screened.

In his remark at the forum, the Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein said the acceleration of China-Myanmar bilateral trade and investment, combating border crossing crimes with the cooperation of the PRC and the requirements reported by the China-Myanmar merchants to be coordinated with the relevant departments.

Next, the Chinese ambassador to Myanmar Mr. Chen Hai clarified the China’s policies to move forward and the plans regarding with the neighboring countries and the will of providing assistance for Myanmar.

Then, Economic Counselor Mr Htan Su Phu of the Chinese embassy explained the issues submitted by the merchants from both sides to be reported to the responsible officials to solve with the cooperation of the two countries after the forum.

The forum was attended by the Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein and region ministers, Chinese ambassador to Myanmar Mr. Chen Hai, Chairman of UMFCCI U Zaw Min Win, Economic Counselor Mr Htan Su Phu of the Chinese embassy in Myanmar, secretary and members of UMFCCI, the business entrepreneurs from the People’s Republic of China and Myanmar, it’s reported.
