Coordination Meeting: Meeting on work implementations of MoE held

A coordination meeting regarding with the work implementations in 2023-2024 fiscal year and the work plans to be implemented of the Ministry of Energy was held the Yadana Hall of the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on 25th and 26th January and attended by the Union Minister U Ko Ko Lwin, Deputy Minister, permanent secretary, Directors General and Managing Directors of the departments and enterprises, departmental heads and officials.

In his opening speech, the Union Minister said in the implementation of national objectives and goals, the Energy Security is important. Current requirement of the country, fuel has to be imported using huge amount of foreign currency.

The necessary arrangements are being carried out to be able to implement the targeted responsibilities for Energy sector based on the established resources. To fulfill country’s fuel requirements more, the efforts are making to restore operation of suspended oil refineries, upgrading of those in operation and to extract more raw materials of crude oil, similarly, more extraction of natural gas is being conducted by applying cutting edge technologies to distribute more natural gas to the Electric Power plants, Urea Fertilizer Factories, plants of Liquefied Petroleum Gas and other factories and workshops.

All are urged to review the implementations in 2022-2023 fiscal year and the status of implementations up to third quarter of 2023-2024 fiscal year systematically and prepare for remaining 2 months of 2024-2025 fiscal year.

Next, the attendees Deputy Chief inspectors, General Managers of oil field, factory In-Charges and officials concerned clarified the work implementations in relevant sector and the Directors General and Managing Directors supplemented necessary matters.

On the clarifications, the permanent secretary made a overviewed supplemented discussion and the Deputy Minister reviewed the work implementations and gave necessary suggestions. Then, the Union Minister gave a speech of conclusion giving necessary instructions.
