Corona Virus Prevention: Screening & Surveillance Conducted At The Border Gate In Chin Shwe Haw

The health authorities are conducting medical screenings and surveillance to prevent 2019 Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) at the Myanmar-China border gate in Chin Shwe Haw, Laukkai Township, Kokant Self-Administered Zone in the northern Shan State as of Monday morning.

This 2019-nCoV is recently outbreak in China, which was first identified in Wuhan City and the number of coronavirus cases and related deaths are rising in neighboring China. On the 27th January, the township administrative officer, the Medical Officer and staffs in Chin Shwe Haw conducted screenings to those enter Myanmar from China with the help of thermal scan equipment.

Efforts will be beef up in the surveillance on the prevention of this disease at border gate in Chin Shwe Haw, according to the township Information and Public Relations Department.
