COVID-19 Meeting: Chin State Committee Holds Coordination Meeting

The Chin State COVID-19 Control and Emergency Response Committee held a coordination meeting in Hakha Township. During the meeting at the State Government Office, Chairman of the Committee Chin State Chief Minister Dr. Wong Hsun Htan  stressed that as there is a resurgence of COVID-19 in townships of the State, more prevention and control activities need to be carried out.

As vaccination can reduce infection rate and intensity of the disease, COVID-19 vaccination programme needs to be accelerated along with booster dose shots. Attendees reported on implementation of decision made in the previous meeting, COVID-19 Control and Emergency Response works, the number of people who already received vaccination and booster doses, COVID-19 doses supply to townships across the State, COVID-19 treatment and quarantine measures, COVID-19 tests, mask campaign and awareness programme among the public.
