COVID-19 Update: 231 New Cases Reported at 8 p.m. on December 6

The Ministry of Health reported 231 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Monday after testing 16,884 lab specimens within 24 hours. 5 COVID-19 positive patients have died while 397 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 524,638 with 19,146 deaths and 500,701 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals. The World’s worst-hit countries are United States of America with over 48.70 million confirmed cases followed by India, Brazil, The United Kingdom, Russian Federation, Turkey, France, Germany, Islamic Republic of Iran and Argentina according to the World Health Organization.

Globally, as of 7:34 p.m. Central European Time on December 6th, 2021, there have been over 265.19 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 5.25 million deaths, reported to WHO. The Ministry of Health has given instructions for office/department staff and everyone’s active cooperation in following the COVID-19 preventive measures including reminders of staying safe and healthy during the pandemic.
