COVID-19 Update: 2,421 New Cases Reported at 8 p.m. on September 14

The Ministry of Health reported 2,421 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Tuesday after testing 24,822 lab specimens within 24 hours. 76 COVID-19 positive patients have died while 2,430 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals.Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 436,527 with 16,693 deaths and 385,870 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are United States of America with over 40.80 million confirmed cases followed by India, Brazil, The United Kingdom, Russian Federation, France, Turkey, Islamic Republic of Iran, Argentina and Colombia according to the World Health Organization.

Globally, as of 6:28 p.m. Central European Summer Time on September 14, 2021, there have been over 225.02 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 4.63 million deaths, reported to WHO. The Ministry of Health has given instructions for office/department staff and everyone’s active cooperation in following the COVID-19 preventive measures including reminders of staying safe and healthy during the pandemic.
