Covid-19 Update: Ministry Reports 4 New Covid-19 Cases At 7:30 A.M. On 1st Of June

Ministry of Health and Sports at 7:30 a.m. on Monday reported 4 new COVID-19 cases after testing 837 lab specimens. All the new 4 confirmed patients are returnees from India. They are residents of Hlaing Township of Yangon.

COVID-19 cases in Myanmar have now reached 228 with 6 deaths. While 138 patients have recovered from the disease, 128 of them have been discharged from the hospitals and put under quarantine.

The World’s worst-hit countries are United States of America, Brazil, Russian Federation, the United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, India, Germany, Turkey, Islamist Republic of Iran, France and Peru, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 6:26pm CEST, 31st May 2020, there have been over 5.9 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 376,255 deaths, reported to WHO.

Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment. Older people and those with underlying medical problems are more likely to develop serious illness.
