Covid-19 Update: Two New Cases Found On Friday, Total Numbers Reached 359

Two new cases of COVID-19 found on Friday according to the lab results of National Health Laboratory in Yangon. A total of 440 lab specimen were tested as the second batch, and two of them found positive with COVID-19.

The two new patients were returnees from India who are in quarantine at TunZan Township.

They will be hospitalized at the People's Hospital in Kalay and Tedim respectively. As of 8:00 am on 7th August, there are 359 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar with 6 deaths and 308 recoveries. In the world countries, the United States of America was the worst-hit country by COVID-19 with over 4.7 million cases, followed by Brazil, India, Russian Federation, South Africa, Mexico, Peru, Chile, Columbia and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

As of 3:17 pm CEST on 6th August, the global numbers of COVID-19 confirmed cases have reached over 18.6 million with more than 700,000 deaths, according to the World Health Organization.
