CSOs Forum: 3-Day 4th Yangon Civil Society Organizations Forum

The 4th Yangon Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) Forum entered the 2nd day on Wednesday in Yangon.

The 3-day forum is discussing the previous Yangon CSOs Emergency forum result and its Terms of Reference (TOR) to collect the needs to be able to voice out for the peace process and to settle complaints, challenges, current situations and further development projects. This 4th forum is held earlier than the usual time according to the decision of Emergency forum which is to tackle some complaints and issues through TOR.

Member, Forum Organizing Committee, Tha Doe Aung said “The first day focused on reviewing session for the network’s procedures and renewing and approving session of Yangon CSOs network’s TOR. And today is mainly of updating steering committee which is to find out the solutions in the network. And we will discuss development projects on the last day.”

The second day program mainly included election session for Yangon CSOs Network’s Steering Committee and focal persons.

Candidate, Thet Thet Aung said “I was elected as a member of Yangon CSOs Network’s Steering Committee in 2018. Today, I’ve come as a candidate to compete in human rights and labor sight in the Steering Committee. The steering committee is responsible to drive the network and help to tackle issues, complaints and other procedures of the network.”

The Yangon CSOs Network was formed in 2017 with the current 81 CSOs.
