Cultural Exchange: 3-Day Art Exhibition Displayed At National Museum In Yangon

Upon Strengthening of Myanmar-China Paukphaw friendship, a 3-day Art Exhibition “The Street with The Specks of Snow” opened at National Museum in Yangon on Monday.

Arranged by Myanmar-China Culture Association (MCCA), the art exhibition runs for promoting Myanmar cultures through the art works of great artists.

MCCA was formed on 5th December, 2018 aiming to preserve Myanmar’s ancient cultural heritages, traditional cultures and customs not only in Myanmar but also in international community. The association also aims to implement interactive cultural exchange programs with the country of China.

Deputy Chairman, Myanmar-China Culture Association, Maung Maung Myint Aye said “Culture is the main part when making friendship between Myanmar and China. For this, art shows are truly essential in expressing these cultures. We’ve invited the officials from the Embassy of China and international guests to expand our traditions and customs to international community.”

This is the first step for Myanmar-China cultural exchange programs. MCCA plans to organize more exhibitions and many other art creations in collaboration with China.

Over 100 paintings of 17 artists, depicting the sense of modern, religion, nature and creation, are being displayed at the exhibition.

Artist, Ni Po U said “Along with MCCA’s objective, We want to showcase different styles of art works by different artists to highlight how Myanmar artists are creating their ideas and concepts, presentations and creations.  As for me, I’m displaying here 4 watercolor paintings and 3 other paintings which portray the traditional dance.”

“The Street with The Specks of Snow” Art Exhibition is going to run from 20th to 22nd of January with vibrant art works.
