Czech, Indonesia pledge to boost economic cooperation

Indonesian President Joko Widodo met with the Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala at Bogor Presidential Palace on Tuesday. Both leaders discussed various economic and security issues in the region, as well as bilateral matters.The two countries have agreed to explore cooperation in various areas including certain strategic industries for both nations.

Petr Fiala, Czech Republic Prime Minister said "Our traditionally export to Indonesia is on energy sector equipment, medical devices and aviation products, but we have many other opportunities, we can bring Czech food products to the Indonesian market and we can increase investment in Indonesia."

Faila arrived in Indonesia on Tuesday from the Philippines as part of his 10-day Asia tour.The Czech PM also will be visiting Singapore, Vietnam and Kazakhstan before ending his trip in Uzbekistan on April 25.
