Drugs Seized: 180 Million Kyats Worth Stimulant Tablets Seized

The stimulant tablets worth 290 Million Kyats were seized in Maungtaw Township, Rakhine State, according to the source of Myanmar police Force.

Acting on the tip-off, the combined forces including the members of Anti-Narcotics Task Force made a stop of a motor vehicle driven by Zaw Zaw (a) Tin Moe Kyaw at 8:30 p.m. on June 14 at Bo Hmuu Ywar alley, Kanyintan ward, Maungtaw Township, Rakhine State and was inspected the vehicle and arrested over 195, 000 stimulant tablets worth 290 Million Kyats in regional current price.

The suspect has been arrested under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law and the investigation is underway to reveal the chain of accomplices, it’s learnt.
