Ebola outbreak puts Uganda medics on high alert

An outbreak of Ebola in the Ugandan town of Mubende has put the staff of St. Florence's Medical Clinic on high alert.The clinic is believed to have treated the first confirmed patient, a 24-year-old boy, who later caught the virus.

A Lab technician said the boy presented Malaria-like symptoms when he came in.Many health facilities are cautious of patients who come with high temperatures, fearing they might be carrying the deadly virus.Since the outbreak of the virus, the country has registered more than 36 cases with 5 confirmed deaths, according to the Ministry of Health.
