Ensuring Border Stability: Terrorist assault thwarted near Thai-Myanmar Bridge

A combined force of KNU members supporting the terrorism, KKO (Separatist), and PDF terrorists launched an attack on security members conducting operations near the No.2 Thai-Myanmar Friendship Bridge in Myawady Township of Kayin State on Saturday.
With the intention of destabilizing peace along the bilateral border and causing panic among citizens of both countries in the border area, the terrorists engaged in battle using heavy weapons and dropped bombs with a significant force.
The security forces responded with a counteraction, supported by airstrikes conducted cautiously to avoid unnecessary armed conflict, thus ensuring stability in the border area. The terrorists were reported to have retreated to western part around 5:00 pm, leaving many casualties behind.
