The excavations at the Wuwangdun tomb site in East China’s Anhui Province have unearthed a remarkable find – stacks of leaves with clearly visible veins, according to archaeologists. Some of the leaves, despite being buried for over two millennia, still show clear vein patterns.
Due to their fragile condition, archaeologists are closely monitoring their condition so as to take timely measures such as moisture preservation and reinforcement. Archaeologists speculate that these leaves may be related to the fruits found in the same tomb chamber.
