Fresher welcome ceremony: MoNREC Union Minister attended the ceremony

The University of Forestry and Environmental Science 2022-2023 academic year fresher welcome ceremony for pre-graduate students was held at the convocation hall of the university, Nay Pyi Taw on 27th May and attended by the Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Khin Maung Yi, Chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Council Dr. Maung Maung Naing, deputy ministers, Nay Pyi Taw Council members, senor officials, rector and faculty members and students.

At the ceremony, the Union Minister U Khin Maung Yi gave an opening remark.

Next, the Chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Council, deputy ministers and officials provided cash donation for the use of teaching aid materials and COVID-19 prevention equipments.

Then, the union minister and party cordially greeted the teachers and students and inquired requirements.

Then, the union minister and party inspected status of teaching and learning in the classes of the university, implementations for the clean and pleasant environment in the university compound and the dormitories and gave necessary instructions.

Afterward, the students entertained with the songs and dances in the convocation hall and later the union minister and party enjoyed launch together with the teachers and students.

In the 2022-2023 academic year of University of Forestry and Environmental Science, totaling 198 students included from first year and fifth years are attending the university, it’s reported.
