Graduation Parade: Thiha Company of 125th Intake of Officers Training Course

Graduation Parade of the Thiha Company of the 125th Intake of Officers Training Course of Defence Services (Army) Officers Training School (Bahtoo) was held at the parade ground of the OTS on Wednesday. On behalf of Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Maha Thray Sithu Min Aung Hlaing, Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Tharay Sithu Soe Win attended the ceremony.
The Vice-Senior General took the salute of the cadet companies, and inspected the cadet companies. The cadet companies later marched pass and saluted the Vice-Senior General. The Vice-Senior General then presented a silver sword to Cadet No. 121 Cadet Aung Min Thu from the 125th Intake who won the Best Cadet Award.
In his speech, the Vice-Senior General urged the cadets to carry out the assigned duties as junior military officers in battalions and units after learning skills and knowledge given by the course. He also stressed the needs to make innovative actions by applying the theorectical training in practical way.
The Vice Senior General also pointed out that every Tatmadawman has to strictly follow the procedures and rules and regulations of Tatmadaw, as well as civilian laws adopted by the government. Moreover, it also needs to follow Geneva Convention and Rules of Engagement(ROE) in performing military duties. He reiterated that stability of the state and achieving eternal peace is of paramount important in marching towards the multi-party democracy system.
He said Tatmadaw is striving for stability of the state, development and prevailing peace in line with the six principles for peace, by adhering to the agreements, prescribed in the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement – NCA. The Vice-Senior General later took the salute of the cadet companies and left the graduation ceremony.
After the ceremony, Vice-Senior General Tharay Sithu Soe Win, together with senior military officers of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief and the commander of Eastern Command, met outstanding award-winning cadets at the guest house and spoke words of honour.
