Green hydrogen plant in steel sector

 India's Union Minister of Civil Aviation and Steel inaugurated the first green hydrogen plant within the stainless steel sector in India on Monday.

The plant is located at Jindal Stainless Limited, Hisar in the Indian state of Haryana. This project has the target of reducing carbon emissions over 20 years. The minister highlighted India’s commitment to a green and sustainable future, emphasizing the need for responsible economic progress in the post-COVID era.

The project will be the world’s first off-grid Green Hydrogen plant for the stainless steel industry and the world’s first Green Hydrogen plant with rooftop & floating solar.
